Shave, get a gender neutral haircut, and wear loose-fitting clothes. Then ask yourself, do I really want to be a girl? Or do I just want to appear more feminine? Do I want to be a pretty girl, or do I just love pretty girls? Or both? Might be worth talking to a psychologist about, you might learn a lot about yourself. I always encourage trying new things, you might learn a lot. And if you don't like it, you can always go back.

I will share this insight. As a person born male I find the lifestyle of girls to be tremendously difficult. It's a lot more work, intrinsically, than being male.

Being male, your male gender identity basically means almost nothing unless you are an out-of-the-ordinary excessively alpha or masculine individual, but that's a minority of men, tbh. Most men do not think about their gender identity and I suspect that a man who is actively aware of their own masculinity is somewhat enlightened.

However, being female, it seems to me that gender identity literally means everything. I might be mistaken but this is my observation.

this is due to the fact that current patriarchal society views men as the default gender while women are seen as the "other", not as subjects but objects whose "womanness" makes them objects (in the philosophical sense) and therefore makes them the ones being observed

There's nothing you can do. If gender is entirely arbitrary and subjective then there's no reason for you to change anything. You simply declare yourself a pretty girl and, by today's social standards, you are one. The only obstacle is convincing others to identify you as a girl. If all genders are equal, if they are about how you feel on the inside irrespective of your body, then transitioning is a transit to nowhere.

Talk like this makes me realize how weird and fucked up the way people talk about gender has become.

>I might be mistaken but this is my observation

It could be because you were born male. I do think being masculine matters to men but women are always in spaces dominated by men and they know they'll be measured by how well they stage their gender in front of the opposite (often situtationally more powerful) sex. Men rarely are in women's only spaces because they don't exist anymore, outside of bathrooms and locker rooms. Men don't feel the pressure to perform their manliness because they don't really need to, unless its a very specific situation. A woman is always on guard because, from shopping in a store to going to college, she's in a man's space and she knows if she doesn't appeal and satisfy male fantasies, she'll end up in the gutter.

You're asking "how". Have you researched into the "should", OP? Are you even aware of the field of "Natural Law"? This should be a decision that is as informed as possible.

vrchat, MMORPGs, roleplay, become a vtuber, plenty of ways to play the role of a pretty girl and people will play along(even be entirely convinced that you are one)
This will give you large ammounts of copium until you move on to more realistic desires or stop caring, it may even give you a new hobby/passion

lol most cisgender heterosexual males are not always pathetic chads worshipping conservative youtubers overplaying masculinity and convincing the world of their alpha ness

truth is most men don't really think about it, they might be that to lesser or greater degrees but i think it is mostly women that intentionally and deliberately focus on their own gender identity and such things and conformity and living up to society's expectations of them
