Japanese and Otaku culture as well as Anime-related discussions can go in this board, whether you were originally from Samachan or not. In addition, if you are from Samachan and you're not sure if your topic would fit in one of our other boards, you can post it here. If the moderators think it would be a better fit for another part of the site, it might get moved.

Sushichan Guidelines

One of the greatest things I love about watching noncurrent anime is that there are so many treasures to find, a galaxy-sized pool of potential amazing feats of animation or writing or character design which have virtually no fan-base whatsoever somehow. Even if production of all anime were to cease forever tomorrow, we'd still have enough to last a few lifetimes.

Tank Chair had a lot of the same issues. Theoretically you have this disabled assassin killing people for his "rehabilitation", but at least in the first episode he's so absurdly strong that it doesn't reflect the struggles of rehab and he's not faced with the frustration of being unable to do something that would've been effortless if he could use his legs. His only real problem is that he turns into a vegetable when he's not killing things but that's more of a problem for his sister and the nurses who have to take care of him. Maybe it'll get better.

It's from a short flash animatic that was made for the Touhou clock project, a Touhou parody of Uniqlock. It was a web-based clock that would play 5-second Touhou flash animations on a timer to see how much time could be counted using Touhou animations. These animations were made by fans and submitted to the website. The artist that drew this one is credited as "セレン", but I couldn't find their socials. If you want to see some of the other animations, the project lead published recordings of some of them on their niconico. Kogasa here shows up around the 6 minute mark.

Idolmaster has moved way away from the OGs and cinderella girls. I skipped most of million live and shiny colors and now I'm totally left behind, but I can't bring myself to care to even catch up with gakuen idolmaster (luna say maybe is a cool song), because I took the time to join in on the love live nijigasaki bandwagon after getting burned with sunshine and got burned YET AGAIN when they were promptly and politely put running in the background. Girls und panzer is ending (in two years) and I lost the plot on touhou since touhou 13 (hopeless masquerade killed and buried the hype for me).

What else is even there? I've thought about kancolle, girls frontline, azur lane, even blue archive so I might finally enjoy all the mass produced doujins but everything seems like such a black hole these days. Like if you get into it you'll be stuck in a vortex you can't get out of and can't get on anything else. But then again all of it is gacha. Is there even a good long-running mediamix type of thing with cute possibly lesbian girls who are bisexual when I'm around anymore?

This age of isekai on TV and gacha on the phone is really aggravating.

I expect it to be more of a slow contraction, more of an effect on releasing new gacha than killing off the existing popular ones. The profit margins on gacha are huge, if they cut advertising I bet they could last a long time.

Even in some sort of catastrophic collapse where 99.9% of the revenue goes away I expect it'd go back to small production value gachas like the original versions of Kancolle or Oretower

ehhh… it's about as BL as Strike Witches is yuri, if that makes sense. Maybe even less so, I think the gayest thing that actually happened was putting arms over shoulders, or maybe a princess carry? At the end of the day Iwamoto even kissed a girl (and he liked it!).

That being said, it's definitely a bishounen anime with moderate fanservice and a nearly all male cast, so if you're not interested in that there's no reason to watch it.
