By cooking Asian dishes?
I do love my 5 spice

 No.1307

I'm not asian but I saved a lot of family recipes. Niche, lower class cultural and regional things. It's always easy to make food you've been eating as a kid… especially if someone in your family can help you. i would suggest to go to one of those giant asian market grocery stores but the amount of ingredients may be overwhelming, and an online guide would probably overlook it.

 No.1308

Coconut milk, chili powder or oil, sesame oil, white rice, then figure out what you like. Lots of root vegetables. There's a chart on yin food and yang food or shui and huo or whatever use that for deciding what you want to eat.

 No.1309

i've never made curry before…only tried it a few times in my life

i saw a video on how to make it the other day and was blown away by how cheap it is…usually any time i see a valuable somewhat healthy food source that is inexpensive i incorporate it into my diet…my most recent thing is Mexican Tajin….you can literally put that stuff on anything and make it taste good

 No.1325

Ginger, garlic, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, tofu, corn starch, chinkiang vinegar, mirin, shaoxing wine. I'd recommend learning how to cook some good tofu.

 No.1364

recipe books with sections on technique are good. most importantly just cook a lot and practice a lot. it will get easier with time

 No.1365

i think with asian food it's easy to overdo it with the spices so watch out for that

disregard yt sushi roll. season everything with zeal.

 No.1367

Don't use too much black pepper. It's like sandpaper coming out the other end.

 No.1368

i stand corrected… (though i've definitely had times where i went a bit too hard on the soy sauce and it made whatever i was cooking like 4/10 but, ya know, ymmv)

disregard this sushi roll too. black pepper is awesome. add more.

 No.1371

soy sauce has the inherent quality of high sodium. seasonings without added salt and sugar can be used in ample quantity. the only way to perfect a recipe is to make it repeatedly and see what works.

 No.1372

>>1370
you just doomed op to hours upon hours of other end sandpapering…

Do you have a butthole made of tissue or something I have never experienced pain from eating pepper

…maybe you should see a doctor…….

 No.1374

>>1373
Yes, and bones made of glass. Also, I love black pepper so I just dump it until the entire top of my noodles are dusted black.
