Ants are such amazing little explorers. They find one cool thing and then set up a trail for their friends and pretty soon there's a line of them marching through the tiniest crack around a window to get to it.

Games aren't just books with moving images. In a game you step into a simulated world and can alter it. You can't do that in a book, unless its scripture or something. Well, at least most books aren't designed that way.

Bought a pound of fresh shrimp to grill at my friend's house. When I get there, he says that the grill is rusted out and can't be used safely, so we just ordered pizza. I'm a bit miffed about it, but we had a great time celebrating, and I've got shrimp for dinner tomorrow. Hope everyroll had a good day, holiday or otherwise.

Why does FL Studio use so much complicated terminology for what is essentially "this is how you have an effect stop/start mid song"? I just recently learn its not called effect automation but enable automation. I've been noticing weird stuff like this and complicated controls in a bunch of "industry-standard" stuff like DAWs and Adobe products. I have a conspiracy theory that its to make learning programs difficult to maintain a level of prestige and sell courses or justify college kids learning them in school. Because if you think about it, thats a great way to cross sell.

Why do people flirt with me? Why do people try to ask me on dates? I just want to read manga. The 3DPDs are trying to distract me from the quest God gave me at birth: playing DnD and DnD adjacent video games. I will not allow any 3DPD to make me feel bad about being a drow lover!!!

When I look at stuff, I remember it. Weirdly, I feel that often people look at stuff and don't remember it. e.g: using social media and scrolling and not remembering the posts they're looking at. I think that's very odd. Why do people not remember the things they look at?
That aside, I hate the demiurge.

How was anybody even able to finish Tsukimonogatari because I remember I tried to watch it when it came out but Ononoki is so boring I just couldn't. I only say this because a few weeks ago I tried to rewatch it but gave up mid episode again.

 No.24335

I don't remember finding Tsukimonogatari displeasing. I think I quite liked it back when I watched it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixFwo50AIrY
This scene, from 2:45 onwards to the end of the video. I used to replay this so much. I really, really liked it. I am a western child of Sub-Saharan African immigrants, and Araragi is right when he talks about how the idea of inanimate objects having spirits isn't strictly Japanese. It's in my culture as well. I've had an intermittent desire for years to study the similarity between Japanese Shintoism and the Animism found amongst the African peoples. Anyway, I really do like the music combined with visuals and speech in that clip. What Araragi is talking about isn't really what I care about, just that it matters to him, so his emotional weight in what he says matches the music.

Beyond that clip though, yeah, I remember enjoying the OVA, but again, I have to admit, I had a hard time following the plot of the anime series. I notice that me and my Mum seem to have some kind of problem with TV where it's not possible for us to follow nuances in the plot of the things we watch.
I can engage deeply with things I read as that uses my brain differently, but watching is hard, yeah. I have to be thankful to have grown in the West in that regard too, as I have family who think reading and writing is also taxing.
Back on topic, yeah, I was really surprised to see the depth of the analysis that would emerge in discussion of the Monogatari series, because I didn't see the depth others were seeing. There's quite a lot that really flew over my head, so perhaps me enjoying Tsukimonogatari isn't very persuasive of its goodness.

Additionally, while I've mostly never really been a lolicon-fan, I've always liked Ononoki. She strikes me as cute, and cool. That too, may have contributed to my desire to watch the series.

Wouldn't recommend it, watermelons are the most annoying crop to grow in my experience. They are extremely horizontal, so instead of growing upwards along a trellis or fence, they grow short and wide, choking out other crops in your plot. They grow viney and prickly, which makes them terrible to tend and harvest, a lot like pumpkins. And on top of that, most generic breeds of watermelon barely grow any fruits. Even the breeds that are advertised to grow big ass melons like the black diamond (30kg+) barely return what is promised. Just stick with local market melons, and grow more vertical crops like peas, beans, and tomatoes.
