Psychic keeps saying something about other people in my life. I want to just focus on what can make myself manageable on my own without anybody. Why don't psychics focus more on maybe work opportunities or something, I don't want any personal connections right now.
No.24049
>>24048Psychics never know what a person wants, they just go off of trends of what most people want. This is detrimental to keeping my attention because I find a lot of topics to be selfish and I don't want to be a selfish person so I don't want to hear about them (anything on love, acquiring unearned wealth, hurting people you dislike, that sort of stuff).
What is the best anime about people who can transform into weapons and fight each other, I want to turn my brain off

All of the great Bossa Nova artists are dead. On second thought, Sergio Mendes is the last one, and if you don't see him live, you'll die having never seen a live performance of a single great Bossa Nova artist.

I just want to take responsibility for spreading misinformation and state that Sergio Mendes is also dead.
On the plus side though, I did find that some of the OGs of Bossa Nova are still alive today, so that's nice. Just not the big-names I encountered in my youth like Jobim and Astrud Gilberto.

MVCC creates far more problems than it solves. It necessitates separate counter columns/tables with complex CTOs to update them. It necessitates using Redis (a separate DB without MVCC) and the like for 'caching', because with MVCC flipping is_dirty bit would copy the entire row. MVCC necessitates manual locking in cases where readers are not allowed to read garbage and makes updates insanely expensive in cases where it's okay for readers to do so.
It almost makes me wonder if the reason why MVCC has been pushed so hard as the only/the default solution for the mainstream opensource DB engines is because the glowies want to read the overwritten/deleted (with Postgres'es MVCC, not really) records.

>>24149I thought that this enjoyment is very human and humans have constructed weird objects called "books" for fulfilling this enjoyment.
Computer rolls then took them, added images placed in time, timed music, and thus created kinetic novels. Some other rolls added branching paths, where everybody only sees a part of the society and its timeline based on arbitrary choices of the person and created visual novels. People think that both are actually games.
For your specific idea, people tend to get attached to seeing things in their control (or under their name) live and prosper, usually above all others for some reason.

>>24150Games aren't just books with moving images. In a game you step into a simulated world and can alter it. You can't do that in a book, unless its scripture or something. Well, at least most books aren't designed that way.
