I've been struggling a lot with burn out lately. Usually it isn't this bad, but this time I don't know how to help myself. I can't seem to get anything done, even the things I want to do.

What do you do to deal with burn out sushi?

 No.24087

i force myself to do things

if i can't or if it fails i just vegetate for a few weeks and cut myself until i feel better

Might be signs of a gas leak.

if it's job related, you gotta take a break if you can. you can take sick days for burnout if you gotta.

if not job related, try asking some help from your folks. one time i had a friend invite me over so he could focus on cleaning up his apartment. got it done fast and he said it helped him get shit done because i was there and he specifically said what we were going to do that, so that also helped to not stop till it was done before thinking of other things. :)

spend a day or two doing nothing.

absolutely nothing. pretend you're in solitary

no phone no computer no TV no music no books. Sit in a dimly lit room with only yourself for company. no cooking no cleaning no laundry no yardwork. if you're hungry eat preserved foods or at most microwave. no going outside. Understand the emptyness of nothing. only by understanding nothing can you realize the importance of somethings.

50% of the time it works every time. Trust me, I'm a professional. Check for gas leaks.

You have to rest, take breaks, take it easy on yourself, and focus on progress rather than results.
