I believe I was slightly misled by a member of the group.
Shirow Masamune didn't write Pandora in the Crimson Shell at all, he simply came up with the concept for it.
Looking further into Masamune's career after Ghost in the Shell, it seems he didn't do much. He didn't have any huge success after it, and has mostly just done art and illustrations since about the late 2000s. He's still around though.

Just came back to say: Episode 8 of Gnosia was amazing! I was so stirred up by it, I unfortunately ended up going to the Gnosia reddit, where I received some spoilers regarding what to expect in future episodes.
I just couldn't wait a week for a new episode. I'm calmer now though I guess, as some time has passed since my watching of the episode.
Nonetheless, I eagerly await the next episode of Gnosia!
