Same reason as to why make an anime about ATMOSPHERE and SCENERY and then slap a 3D model smack dab in the middle of it.

Apart from that this seems like the type of anime that doesn't think its viewership is the lowest common denominator and is subtly telling a story. But there's still 11 episodes to go so there's plenty of room to be surprised!!!

Ya think it's gonna be another by the numbers anime to turn your brain off to and watch and then forget about it a couple of weeks into the season and you might be right, but this girl carried episode 2 into making me care just enough to check it out next week (mushoku no eiyuu).

It also helps that it distances itself from saijaku tamer since the world doesn't completely turn against MC- Oh and no tangential isekai elements to tick that demographic box.

An anime sponsored by bandai namco about gacha being a superpower. I don't see anything self-interested about it. It's just a fact I thought I should share.

Apparently the gacha rolls improve when the mana density around MC is higher. Doesn't that mean the gacha uses up all the mana around it and the next gacha will suck? Could the gacha be used as an anti-magic measure that deprives mages from mana to cast spells while providing MC with better rolls? Can we expect intelligent writing? Can an anime with this premise become this generation's "The comrades I trusted left me for dead in a prison island but the gift "HUGE TREASURE" granted me wealth and status so I'll try getting revenge on the world & tell my comrades to stick it" (localized title: "The Count of Monte Cristo")? We all know the answer to that (yes).

The elves and the maid are hot so I'll stick around.

The roads in the first one don't make sense if you look at them closely, why would the left and right lanes split like that? Also the "T" intersection is a sharp angle with no allowances for automobiles to make a turn on the inner lane without either cutting the corner or crossing into oncoming traffic.

Egao no Taenai Shokuba Desu is deffo becoming the AOMS (if we exclude sequels like Nageki no Bourei wa Intai Shitai). It's an anime made by a new studio called Voile which I found out by myself. It's their second ever anime, the first being Acro Trip, which is also pretty good. Since Studio3Hz is dead I think Studio Voile will become the new studio I want to see succeed alongside PA Works.

In the US, we have mashed sandwiches. Mashed potatoes with gravy on a slice of toast. Sometimes, to be fancy, we'll add a piece of fried chicken on top, but it's not necessary. Technically beans toast would also be carbs on carbs, though their high protein content might make up for it.

I have never heard of a "mashed sandwich", but when I tried to google it I got a bunch of results for the "aloo sandwich" which seems to be popular in India and consists of a spiced mashed potato filling between grilled bread. This somehow seems less ridiculous than the yakisoba pan but I'm not sure why. Maybe because it's tubers with grains instead of grains with grains.

Probably an issue with the source material, but I feel like there was plenty of time to resolve the main plot if the author would just stop stalling and write the ending. Comedy parts were good at least.
