Just finished the show at around 3am and damn it hit hard. I dont watch much anime nor am i used to this type of but i loved it from start to finish. It resonated a lot more since i've been feeling very lonely lately, but i guess life is worth it even without the pain.

Also i somehow forgot there was an anime board and posted this topic earlier today in /lounge/, sorry.

*with all the pain

I never read the manga, but I heard the anime took some liberties with Misaki in particular.

The original was a light novel. A lot of things got changed a little. For example, in the LN, Satou is explicitly a drug addict, in the anime, it's up to interpretation. Misaki was a bit more mentally ill in the LN if I recall correctly. None of the things that were changed were a big deal though.

always thought the trippy sections in the anime were just visually hinting at drug usage combined with paranoia

Glad you got to experience this for the first time sushi. The last time I watched it was back in 2014, and I remember it had a huge impact on me, especially when they go to the island.

It's a very good anime, don't let it get you down too much though. I was depressed for a while after watching it a few years ago.

I just finished reading molester man and I have a gigantic urge to go out and meet people, I'd highly recommend you read it (it's a manga) I think it would be good for you

i dropped this just mostly out of disinterest, but i got to when everyone gets off the island, and i have been thinking about the anime a lot.. i wanna pick it up again or check out the manga. it definitely stuck with me despite my initial opinion

Yeah some guys on 4chin also mentioned the drug addict side of satou, i'd like to buy the manga but theres no official publishing in my country and i dont really like reading online

>>8777
The island part was really insane, for me it hit most when Misaki started to cry while pleading for Satou to not jump

Yeah lately its been kinda hard but the show also gave me hope for better things in life, tho i was very sad when it ended.
