I've been kind of obsessed with Denki Groove's Smoky Bubbles. The weird thing is, I don't really enjoy most of their other stuff that much.

What I love about it is the combination of a steady, low-key groove with loose drums and this really floaty, hazy atmosphere. It feels like it's constantly moving forward, but somehow still drifting at the same time.

I've tried looking around downtempo and trip-hop, and some DJ Shadow stuff gets pretty close, but a lot of what I find tends to be either too drum-heavy or not floaty enough.

Does anyone know what genre Smoky Bubbles even falls into? Or where I could find more music with this kind of sound?

I'm not quite sure if its an exact match genre wise, or even what to call the genre (downbeat?) but you might like Burial.
