 No.2

Welcome to the second ever U.S.A.G.I. Game Jam!

U.S.A.G.I., formerly known as The Uboachan / Sushichan Associated Gamejam Initiative, is announcing a second ever Game Jam!

Jam starts on June 29th, ends on August 24th
Contact point: usagijam@waifu.club or >>4
Rules: >>3
Feedback, questions, complaints: >>4

The staff expects rolls from the public and the following boards to also join, so please try to be awesome to them (sorted alphabetically after USAGI members, contact us if your board wants to be added / removed):

Uboachan - The somewhat mysterious Yume Nikki fansite
Hikari3 - The board for people that like to take it easy
Kissu - Modern, yet familiar Japanese culture board
39chan - The premier Vocaloid forum
Wapchan - Forum centered around pre-2000s anime & manga

(artwork by watto)

Judging procedures and prizes, if any, are still TBD. We may also create a game jam page on itch.io to showcase the submissions, if there is a demand for it.

 No.3

The Jam formally starts on June 29th, and will conclude on 23:59 August 23th GMT. To register, open a thread on this board with your proposal before August 24th and before the same date post a link to the final submission.

Contestants may work individually, or in teams. Team size is unlimited (you can have strangers contribute), third-party assets you can legally use are fair play, as long as the game itself is original. Using third party platforms such as itch.io to upload your game is allowed, as long as the rules are followed.

Create a thread for your (planned, completed) game here, make sure to use a tripcode and remember it. You are encouraged to engage with some or all of the boards above for discussion / organization / play-testing. You can use whatever for internal communication, including this board, which will be heavily moderated.

DO:
- Pick ideas that resonate with you and your group, country, or whatever makes you you.
- Blend and combine them thoroughly
- Deviate from social and group norms
- Break game clichés and forms, break out of the computer
- Let your work speak for itself, don't just advertise a board
- Make sure an English-speaking human can enjoy it
- Agree to the terms of submission. Add the following to wherever you host your game: "I agree to the terms of submission of the USAGI Game Jam as of [DATE]."
Terms of submission: https://sushigirl.cafe/usagi2026terms.html

DONT:
- Commit crimes (distribute malware, blatantly violate copyrights, glorify sexual abuse or sexual acts on minor[-looking] characters, discriminate on geolocation etc.)
- (Ab)use AI generated assets (generated code and synthesized voices are acceptable, if in doubt, contact us / ask here)
- Advertise / glorify Internet communities, political parties and persons, or religions; motives and themes using these topics responsibly and respectfully are at own risk
- Present audio/visual strong guro or lewd content without clear content warnings, or provide a complete version of the game without these elements.
