We're doing a Build Your Own Stream Day TM again so Oni can get some rest to recover from illness. I have some OVAs and junk I've been meaning to watch, and of course Rurouni Kenshin TV. I'm going to try to air Kenshin at the end of every SushiStream.

Yuri started out as sexualized parody of women's Class S literature written for male audiences (otakus and later on gay men) so its always been trashy fantasy material for boys who have issues with the opposite sex. If that's what you are into then there's no shortage of that kind of soulless fap material, but if you want good girl drama then I guess you should check out things like Oniisama e, Shiroi Heya no Futari. You could also try Nobuko Yoshiya's novels and short stories, assuming you can get them in English. There is no such thing as good yuri.(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)

That's only a quarter of a century old. Barely legal if you come to think about it (only old enough to have voted twice at most). This stuff is getting way too unrealistic.

Why do this?

The operation isn't even over yet and you decide to do a team pose right in front of the marks? And you've got your main antagonist right there too so you just destroyed all the plausible deniability you've been building up for however long you know the guy (even though he has a computer voice in his head telling him everything, he's still dumb enough to believe you over it. Trust me). What gain was there in acting like this? Your one accomplice, even though he's got these spells of verbosity (clearly translated line by line in isolation from each other like the rest of the episode, maybe even speech-to-texted and then machine translated), when instead he should be SLICING AND DICING HIS OPPONENTS, cares so little about you he won't snitch, so there isn't even any way they'd know you were the one who pulled it all off.

Did you want to see the look on their faces when they realize they've been had? What's the point? You can imagine it and then when someone interrupts your tale of heroism by asking how do you know if you weren't there you can shut them down by going "I knew them so well that I SCAMMED them, you think I can't predict how they reacted?"… I thought you were a artist of subtle trolling but it turns out the creator of this story would rather destroy all characterization for a climactic scene that isn't even that climactic.

This sucks, man. Put the purple oni in the suit with the big boobs back on.

As for me - I don't know if I really have a favourite manga so far.
There's manga I want to read.
But truly, I don't feel I've read enough manga to be able to say that I have a favourite manga. I'm just not that much of a manga-enthusiast to have read that much.
I must say though - I think Aria will always be something special for me. I'm on Volume 5 of the Masterpiece collection of Aria, and I'm happy to be reading this manga. From the outside looking in, it always looked beautiful to me. I remember the cozy vibe of the read-along Aria threads that would be hosted on 4chan /a/, along with music from the anime's OST, and I really liked that. I know this manga to be one of 4chan/a/'s sacred cows, and I'm thankful that they exposed me to it. I want to buy the art books Kozue Amano made for Aria, and keep them with me for the rest of my life. I somehow feel really happy that something like this exists.

I hope you have fun with manga, OP. It seems that as you prepare to enter the world of manga, I'm actually preparing to exit it. I was always a casual anyway, but yeah, I've come to realise how malnourished I am culturally at my age, and I wish to correct this by reading more western works and the works in the western csushi roll. The Aria manga, Made in Abyss manga, and Shin Sekai Yori Web Novel, I think these will be the final otaku-related works I consume before I transition to western material. I hope all goes well for both of us!

The yuri angle ruined this show. Before that it was about the clash between a disillusioned older artist and a naive young wannabe with emotional problems. Of course, they just had to go ahead and make it gay, shove a random romantic arc into it.
