>>8459…There's also Banana Fish which is very explicitly BL but it's less about the romance, although it's there… And The Summer Hikaru Died is also BL but it's even less about the romance I think, I actually haven't watched it yet… I watched Devilman though, there's definitely some BL there, but it seems unrequited (I recommend watching the OVA Devilman The Birth over Devilman Crybaby because Ryo has actual feelings in the original and… actually, the original manga is best, it's not too long I think, some of the spin-offs are gayer than others: I think Crybaby just ended up too far away from the source material and the BL stuff between the main characters wasn't as good as in the original imo).
For explicitly BL romance anime, I think Given seems pretty good, but I've only read volume 1 so far (seems tragic but in a good way). I've heard from people that Doukyuusei is the most realistic BL they've seen, but I haven't watched it yet, so idk.
…Really, I mostly know really really old BLs, like Junjou Romantica (kinda problematic because of the assault stuff, but it has some nice romance drama too; the show is about 3 different romances so you could theoretically skim the episodes of the ones you don't like, but there is a bit overlap…), Sekaiichi Hatsukoi (very similar to Junjou Romantica, just a bit less problematic), Hybrid Child (sad short stories I think), Kizuna (even older than Junjou, there's assault stuff, not good, but I think they also had some interesting glimpses into the era and stuff), Fake (similar vibe as Kizuna, same problems ig), Kachou no Koi (has some assault stuff too but otherwise it's friggin hilarious), Sukisho (has many silly episodes even though the story's probably supposed to be more tragic since it's about a guy with amnesia finding that he has multiple personality disorder and his other personality is romancing another guy who also has the same thing and stuff and there's some mystery and all; also I think it's funny that there's not a single woman in this entire anime, if you think you see one, no, that's also a man lol), Ai no Kusabi (I watched both the old version and the remake, it's mostly tragedy and sci-fi with some cool visuals, but I found it a bit confusing, it has so much assault and slavery in it tho, it's so bad, not as terrible as Maiden Rose but it's hard to recomm
