I've been struggling a lot with burn out lately. Usually it isn't this bad, but this time I don't know how to help myself. I can't seem to get anything done, even the things I want to do.

What do you do to deal with burn out sushi?

Might be signs of a gas leak.

if it's job related, you gotta take a break if you can. you can take sick days for burnout if you gotta.

if not job related, try asking some help from your folks. one time i had a friend invite me over so he could focus on cleaning up his apartment. got it done fast and he said it helped him get shit done because i was there and he specifically said what we were going to do that, so that also helped to not stop till it was done before thinking of other things. :)

spend a day or two doing nothing.

absolutely nothing. pretend you're in solitary

no phone no computer no TV no music no books. Sit in a dimly lit room with only yourself for company. no cooking no cleaning no laundry no yardwork. if you're hungry eat preserved foods or at most microwave. no going outside. Understand the emptyness of nothing. only by understanding nothing can you realize the importance of somethings.

50% of the time it works every time. Trust me, I'm a professional. Check for gas leaks.

 No.24091

You have to rest, take breaks, take it easy on yourself, and focus on progress rather than results.

I find it best to take some time off producing stuff and focus on consuming stuff. Working through my reading list, watching a show with friends, playing a game in my backlog, etc. While enjoying the story, I start thinking of all the cool stuff I could do just like it, and eventually the desire to create again is back. I don't force it, I just ride the desire, whether that's a desire to create or a desire to consume.

at the time you meet him he's very mysterious and he basically serves to foreshadow huge parts of v3's ending. he also has this habit of mentioning really spooky things off-handedly and then dismissing them. probably why a lot of people think he'd get along really well with korekiyo shinguji.

>Ah, there is something that kind of bothered me

i'm pretty sure he straight up says this in-game at some point lol

he's also very mild mannered so you just remind me of him a lot.

Give me a truck without any advanced electronics that can effectively haul 10,000kg (at minimum) across 300km. I want no advanced electronics because the more parts, the more points of failure.
And there were trucks like this in the 80s and 90s - the F-350 could tow 10,000kg on a gooseneck trailer, and an F-450 could haul about 20,000kg on the same, all with a simple 7.3L Duramax diesel engine that was very close to being completely electronics-free.

And with alternative fuels and basic tinkering, you could almost eliminate the emissions issue by having it run on peanut oil.

Plus, almost anyone could repair almost any part of the truck with relative ease. The main block and transmission might be beyond the wheelhouse of most, but most anything else could be repaired or replaced using only a basic set of tools.

Now you have these monsters almost twice the size which, while having all the creature comforts you can imagine, are lucky to run half as many km before the first major issue crops up, and after inflation cost two to four times as much.

And repairing them is quickly becoming out of the question with even trivial things - replace the brakes by yourself, and the truck refuses to start up until the work has been authorized by the mothership via an encrypted handshake, requiring a $100,000 piece of software that can only connect to the manufacturer with a $6,000/mo subscription.

That is an absolutely terrible trade-off.

ask them on a date. if they say no give them some space and then ask if they want to hang out with you and your friends. that way if they arent interested in you then you can reaffirm that you are okay with that and still want them in your life platonicly.

I can't be the only one who likes to study and learn around here.
What do you study? What topics do you care about but don't get the time to do it? Are you self taught?
People who study just to pass a test are welcome, too, but that is not the theme of this thread.

I myself have been interested in ancient languages, and right now I am starting to learn ancient Greek, though as they say, it's all Greek to me.
I have other interests like astronomy, but really, I'm over my head with my current studies. I've also been learning some chemistry.

What was wrong with me then? It's been another 5-6 months, and I passed a certification. I also spent another month training for the Network+ certification and I'm going to try beating the test on the 3rd of February. I have pretty low hopes, though. The test itself was really cheap compared to the A+, which was 500 dollars. Only 178 this time. I should probably start setting up a lab to get better on the hands on stuff. Also, I never found that geography site I used, but I did in fact read more political theory. I find my grasp of South America is pretty bad as well as Europe. I still have much to learn. I think I want to read a book a month.

i dont think im capable of learning anymore tbh. i never get good at anything no matter how hard i try. i think im disabled. trying to learn now just makes me want to kill myself when i make no progress. the few things ive managed to get good at are highly social things and those never last long enough for it to be worth it. skills only valued in social settings are pretty worthless if nobody wants you in social settings.
