retail sucks but driving in US cities is worst. If you wanna be a driver, make sure it's a company car you're using and not your own car ie. no uber.

I love my new job yet I cant stop staying up until late and becoming sleep deprived recently. I'll get it right one day, just happy to have a stable wage at a job that doesn't make me want to gouge my eyes out constantly.

I think i have a love/hate relationship with my job. I work at an enterprise IT firm and became a salaryman by choice. Now I work even on paid leave, take all night maintenance jobs, say yes to every stupid task. I'd say the money is good for someone as young as me but it has destroyed my soul and body. I lost the last few friends I have, developed chronic back pain and live my "life" just for my job. But hey, the money is good and I can't imagine what would happen to me if I don't have job's task filling my head. Rather not think about it.

I work as a nurse aide in a nursing home. I cannot express to you that I am literally the only man in the building that does nursing. It is one of the most horrid jobs I have ever done besides retail. Not because I have to look at old peoples bodily fluids and clean their poop or whatever it's because the women I work with are horrible needy people that are never satisfied and the women I work with are whiny people that only come to work to gossip and complain. Not to mention being the only man there I am forever the scapegoat and treated as second glass because I am neither gay enough or attractive enough to be awarded any civil decency. Maybe you think that the residents are okay and make up for it. Yes, one or two maybe but mostly they are just as needy and whiny as the kids they complain about. I can tell you first hand that the older generation is just as entitled as they say we are. Now that the demographic is shifting to boomers it is getting much worse. If anyone is to ever recreate the 2001 anthrax scare I will volunteer for quality control. I already have an exit plan.

Do you have faith, sushi?

I have this old memory when I, as a kid, lost a precious toy. Asked God to help me find it, but to no avail. I blamed God for this misfortune and declared that I no longer believe.

Now I would say I am an agnostic, but I think I really want to find God. God, as someone to talk to, to confess to and to find support in. Lately I faced a lot of difficulties and praying helped me. I even made few liabilities, that I now struggle to accomplish.

When things go well I forget about my prayings and obligations, there is that thought that it is all my work and not some old dude above my head. Until now I went by this and it made me feel like a tiny, tiny man.

I really want to believe, but something is stopping me. Please, share something about yourself.

When it comes to my religion, I always discourage people from taking any interest in it. It's been made tragically redundant and alien in a world that seems less and less inclined to tolerate its existence. Unless you're somebody disposessed in some way, you'll never understand it. Christians have their elite intellectuals, their wealthy shills and chruchmen etc. our religion thrives in ghettos, in the barios, on death row, in prisons, and refugee camps. If you're not on the bottom or estranged in some fundamental way, then you'll never understand it except maybe at the abstract academic level.

All the great sages and prophets were displaced in some way. Joseph was sold into slavery, Moses was dumped in a river, Confucius roamed from state to state looking for employment, Laozi fled from civilization. And often the divine (whatever you wanna call it) comes in the form of a stranger, like the burning bush, Gabriel in the cave at Ghar Hira, the schizo Andreyev hallucinating in his gulag cell. Divinity resists everything terrestrial. This is why since ancient times people found God while roaming the desert.

Faith is dead.

We wrestle with the unknown. Socrates was the wisest man in Athens because he did not claim to know. Plato said we can only know truth by our mind and logic and reason, that our sense deceive us. He inspired a generation. Aristotle said we can only know truth by what we can perceive, by our senses. He inspired a generation. These two schools of thought dominated much of Western philosophy (not all of it). Does truth come from our mind or does truth come from our senses? Empiricism and 'Science' changed the game a bit, but truly all of us are damned to ignorance, save those that perhaps the Divine chooses to know certain things. Certainly, we never asked to be born. What came before us appears unknown. Why we exist is more or less unknown. Where we go after death is more or less unknown.

There is plenty of evidence that the supernatural exists. Humans have seen ghosts forever, and thus there may be life after death. Most of human religion talks about a judgment after death about the conduct we took part in during our life. Most religion place a very direct and real emphasis on the conduct of human affairs.

The dogmatism of the religious fundamentalist and the dogmatism of the Atheist, at the end of the day they are the same thing. Dogmatism.

I think the truths are very simple and known in our hearts. We may not know everything but we can cling to hope and good faith, no matter how hideously evil the world will be. Some people are corrupted by the evil world and themselves become evil. It would seem that there is far more suffering in human existence than there are pleasures, and justice is often fleeting.

I have seen evidence in my life of certain things. The evidence of a grand 'Architect' of reality. Lesser supernatural beings. The "Divine Feminine" is a real thing. Probably, then the "Divine Masculine" as well. I have also seen that it is better to do good than to do evil. But I have seen that it is very hard to be good in an evil world. After Pandora opened her box and unleashed all the vices and virtues of life into the world, the last thing left for humans was hope.

I barely buy anything that is not food, but recently I bought Burzum t-shirt - first piece of clothing in like 4 years. Mind you, I am not homeless or dirty - I just treat my stuff well and my style is eternally good.
Anyway, felt nice when I wore it, but quickly I realised that consumerism has started to corrupt me.
I tamed it, I had to stop buying pencils, rubbers, stuff for work, but it was all for my mental wellbeing. I also threw away my desk, couch and all chairs. I could gladly say that unlike filthy casuals 'things' have no impact on me.
Everything was good, 'till yesterday. I got a present.

I don't really have a problem with spending money when it's abundant, but i remember sometimes during college when my family was being harsh about money so I would mostly intermitently fast and eat mostly noodles. I'd gain weight again when travelled back home so I had stored fat to lose and supplement with vitamin pills and omega 3 pills lol. In the end I used most of this money on travels to see webfriends.
Also, for months i could only take cold showers, but it was because my roommate was supposed to buy the shower and the asshole would knock the neighbors house to take hot bath there instead, e v e r y morning. It became quite a fight with time. Honestly fuck that guy, terrible and lazy swindler.

I think Glegle is a meme since more than one artist has been involved. Just more an art meme than an imageboard meme but also comes off like an antimeme. By antimeme I mean a reaction to current nature of memes in themselves by going against the trend of being mean spirited while overly replicating which annoys some people.

Big agree. Unless you're running your car on a track, being able to use ALL of your car on regular roads FEELS better than having to constantly rein it in. At least from a none American (UK) perspective. Big straight road, I imagine the bigger engine feels better there.
