Do you have a neat web community or chat group you'd like to invite people to? Maybe want to drop your messaging handle and strike up some conversations? Do it here.

Chat/community/personal ads are no longer allowed on the rest of the site, except maybe on /hell/.

Important Note: This doesn't mean that you can't talk about communities or chat groups. You could, for example, have a thread where you ask people about web communities they visit. You just can't open your thread with an advertisement.

One post per service please! Duplicate ads may be deleted. This especially includes discord links. To make a permanent discord link, click on instant invite, go to advanced settings, and change the expire time to never. Dead links suck. If your discord link expires, your post will be deleted and you may receive a short warning ban.
New Rule(2/21/25): To avoid spam/bots and potentially illegal content, describe your community briefly, don't just drop the link.

Effective immediately: AI images are banned.

We have been getting a flood of low quality AI images on multiple boards that are excessively clogging several threads. We have been lenient in the past but it has gotten to be too much and nobody wants to see the recent posts flooded with AI. Sushichan is not the place for this, especially if you're going to only minimally interact with threads to post AI images.

Users can feel free to discuss this rule change in the replies to this thread but as of right now we are taking a hard stance against AI images on Sushichan.

country TLDs usually regulate their price increases and not all require residency or an in-country mailing address. for example .in would be a good option, even a site like the daily stormer used it without issue, hispachan is using it now. renewal for it is pretty cheap on porkbun and namesilo.

I did add orange bitters as per the recipe, and I added a splash of simple since I thought it might help. But after tasting the final product, it really does not taste like it's salvageable.

And now, for the moment we've all been waiting for: enter Dorothy Haze, the internet's problematic daughter (well one of them at least). At this point in the story, we are introduced to Dorothy, a sapient sex robot. Yes, she looks of questionable age. Yes, creeps do hire her to act like their daughter for a day. No, I will not be going any deeper into the many ethical concerns this raises. That's what the game is for dummy, go play it and make your own moral decisions.

Dorothy orders a Piano Woman, a drink that was renamed because the Piano Man should have a Piano Woman, shouldn't he? This drink calls for a dark rum instead of a white or silver rum, which is a decision I found strange until I made the drink. The deep ocean blue was a nice change of pace compared to the electric blue that a lot of blue curacao drinks end up being. The drink is very sour, but I like that about it. It ends up feeling like a hard limeade rather than a kool-aid sweet cocktail. Still rather sweet, but not too much for my tastes. Very nice drink, would absolutely make again. And if you love Dorothy, you should buy her model when it releases.

Second drink that our problematic daughter orders is a sunshine cloud. It's a sweet and fluffy desert drink with a hint of bitterness. I'll be honest and say that I think I royally screwed up this drink. For one, I used a cacao liqueur instead of a creme de cacao, which I had to compensate for by adding more syrup. I also used a clear liqueur, so the color of the drink came out as a slightly brown tinge instead of a deep orange brown like it was supposed to be. I also poured a bit heavy handed on the soy milk, so it came out very foamy. I definitely should have used a shorter glass as well for presentation, but this is the only smooth round glass I had. All my whisky tumblers are gem cut.

Overall it's a solid drink though. It feels very festive, though perhaps thats my association with things like chocolate milk or egg nog. Maybe a bit of mint would do well with it, and rename it to "snowy cloud" or something. But then again, that would just make it a crummy knockoff grasshopper. It will have to do though. I'll have to find a place that sells pernod for my next two drinks, which my corner store does not have.

rehab
I hate it here
but I came here because I have been drinking for a year straight
monday I almost got two withdrawal seizures, had to quickly run to the grocery stores grab a couple of cans and yell to the cashier "sorry I'm in a hurry, I'll pay for this in 10 minutes!"
luckily the cashiers - quite obviously - knew me and once I slammed those cans to avoid the imminent heart attack I of course paid for them… really awkward though, but the alternative would've been worse
last summer I did get the seizure for not getting the fix in time
a heart attack hurts like hell and it's not fun waking up in an ambulance with some nurse showing a catheter down your junk
still, I have nothing to do here
I don't even have a phone, no nothing
just a couple of minutes to use the computer
glad I found out there are websites that have online gba emulators which allow online save states

life sucks and then you die huh

Ants are such amazing little explorers. They find one cool thing and then set up a trail for their friends and pretty soon there's a line of them marching through the tiniest crack around a window to get to it.

does anyone know any particularly comfy youtubers or podcasts?

i'm always looking for something comfy or interesting to listen to in my spare time, and listening to people talk helps me relax a lot.

one podcast i'm a fan of is the wisenheimers podcast which was two animators from newgrounds talking about stupid shit. it ended a while a go, but managed to be pretty funny and chill while it lasted.

i also some lets players like vinesauce, jontron era game grumps and another guy called manlybadasshero who mostly does horror game lp's, but i havent found anything as comfy as i would prefer.

What is sushi's routine? And how has it worked out for you?

Morning:
Aldi brand facial cleanser (Lacura)
Wonder ceramide mochi toner
Aldi brand sunscreen (also Lacura)

Night:
Nothing lol :P (but I should probably wash my face)

The effects are not bad but I think I could get better results if I had a moisturizer

>- im not fit for work from too much anxiety/negative feelings
Search for a job, where you can perform with little or no triggers for your anxiety.
>- on bad days doing anything feels very forced to me
Try to get flexible hours. Then do more on good days, so you have a buffer for bad days or work shorter days altogether. As long as you can pay your bills, you are doing good.
>- cant shake off this very deep fear and disgust for people. strangers. hate. I can barely hide it
This one is tough. Find out what you hate about people and try to not just diminish them to these traits. Everyone has a shadow, but if the hate doesn't serve you, why focus on it?
>- dont see a point in even trying because above
When you are in a ditch, every way is a steep climb at first, but I learned that sometimes even minor changes can improve your position and outlook on life, like overhauling your living conditions, replacing a bad habit with a less bad one or doing something that is in contrast to your usual routine.

>- super anxious and panicky around bad behaviour

What is bad behaviour? I hate it when people get angry, even if it's justified. Gladly my colleagues are all chill.
>- often analysis paralysis and fear paralysis that renders me immobile - - strong feeling that im just supposed to die
When this happens, start doing something with your hands, like cleaning.
>- 30 and jobless for the nth time failed so many times already
Took me longer than this, but now I have a nice workplace. After a couple of experiences I now know what to watch out for + I got lucky.
Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

I hope this post is okay, I know people don't usually make introduction posts on an sushi rollymous forum but I wanted to say hello.

Recently as I hit my early 30s I became nostalgic for the image boards of old I read as a teen, but had long written them off as lost to hate. I thought surely not all of them could be toxic, did a little digging, found many dead chans, but eventually stumbled upon sushigirl.

I have lurked for a couple days and I wanted to say how lovely it is that in complete sushi rollymity, where you could say or do or be anything, the people here choose to be kind. I think it speaks volumes about the kind of people you all are. It makes a community like no other when kindness is done for the sake of kindness, not for clout or chasing a high score. It's pure and beautiful.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. Now I have to rebuild an image folder for posting!

 No.24282

The automatic swapping of the *A* word for sushi rollymous was hilarious and unexpected. A good example of what I'm talking about ^^
